Kay and Joe are happy to announce a New B & B is on the way. Much like expectant parents we know it will take a while for things to develop. Please watch this site to see progress photos from time to time.
We have purchased two acres, closer to the Nelson Central Business District. We will be 3 km from the Centre of New Zealand, and 2 km from Founders Park. The new A-Culinary-Experience B & B will have an incredible view of Port Nelson, Rabbit Island, Abel Tasman headland, as well as retaining the ever-changing landscape of the boulder bank's Haven!
We have a small demonstration vineyard already planted in Pinot Noir vines. We believe in getting our priorities right and got the vines planted within a few weeks of taking ownership of the property. Kay is excited about the Kalamata Olive trees that Joe organized into a grove so we will produce our own olive oil for the B & B. We have started to build the new Bed and Breakfast and hope to be in by March, 2009.
